What the connector does
Claude can read your own LinkedIn profile and posts, write in your voice, and publish, schedule or save drafts. LigoSocial runs a remote MCP server (Model Context Protocol, the open standard Claude uses for connectors) with 16 tools, and Claude calls them whenever a request needs one.
Claude pulls your profile, writing style and personal context from LigoSocial before it writes, so drafts sound like your best posts instead of generic AI.
Publish a post now or schedule it for later. Claude only publishes when you explicitly confirm, and posts go out through LinkedIn's official API.
Ask what worked last month. Claude can fetch your recent LinkedIn posts with engagement and search everything you have published.
Save ideas as drafts, search your LigoSocial post library, and check what is already on your content calendar before adding more.
Claude can give you a one-time upload link, or pick media you already have in your LigoSocial Media Library, and attach it to a post.
You approve access on a LigoSocial sign-in screen (OAuth 2.0 with PKCE). Claude never sees your LinkedIn password, and you can remove the connector at any time.

No. LinkedIn does not publish its own MCP server or Claude connector, so every LinkedIn MCP server is third-party. What matters is how each one reaches LinkedIn: through LinkedIn's official API with OAuth, like LigoSocial, or through your logged-in browser session and scraping, which LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits.

Setup
Add LigoSocial as a custom connector in Claude, paste https://ligosocial.com/mcp, then sign in to LigoSocial and click Allow. It takes four steps and about a minute. You need a LigoSocial account with your LinkedIn profile connected, and a Claude plan with custom connectors.

In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors. Click "+" and choose "Add custom connector". On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it for the organization first.
Open claude.ai connectors →Give the connector a name and paste the LigoSocial remote MCP server URL. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty.

Why LigoSocial
Because a hosted server on LinkedIn's official API needs no install and does not put your account at risk. Many LinkedIn MCP servers on GitHub run locally and reach LinkedIn through your browser session or cookies. LigoSocial is built the other way.
Posts are published through LinkedIn's official API, not browser automation, so there is no scraping and no shared cookies.
It is a remote server with OAuth. Paste one URL into Claude and you are done, on any computer.
Drafts use the style LigoSocial learned from your own posts, and everything you create lands in the same library, calendar and analytics.
