Content Inspirations
Inspirations is your swipe file inside the LigoAI Chrome extension. When you see a LinkedIn post, article, Reddit thread or YouTube video worth coming back to, save it in one click. Later you can turn any saved item into a LinkedIn post in your own voice.
It is for anyone who finds good ideas while scrolling but loses them by the time they sit down to write.
Save an inspiration
From LinkedIn
- On your feed, a post page or LinkedIn search results, right-click the post you want to keep.
- Open the LigoAI entry in the menu and choose ✨ Add to Inspirations.
- A message confirms it, for example ✨ Post by
saved to Inspirations!
From Medium, Substack, Reddit and YouTube
On these sites LigoAI shows a small floating LigoAI button on the right edge of the page. You can drag it if it is in the way.
- Open the article, post or video.
- Hover over the floating LigoAI button.
- Click Save to Inspirations.

The same menu has Generate Post, which sends the page straight to the Write tab (see Repurpose content), and Hide on this site, which removes the button from that website.
Find your saved inspirations
- Click the LigoAI icon in your browser toolbar to open the side panel.
- Click the ... (More) button at the end of the tab bar.
- Under Create, click Inspirations.
The tab has two sub-tabs: Saved and Prompts.
On Saved, use the chips to filter:
- All: everything, including ideas curated by our team.
- Saved: items you saved yourself.
- Top Picks: your own posts from 60 or more days ago that performed well and are worth repurposing. Available on plans that include post repurposing suggestions; see Billing in the app.
Each item shows where it came from and when you saved it (for example "LinkedIn · Saved Today"). If you have more than one page of items, click Load more at the bottom.
Turn an inspiration into a post
- Click the wand icon (Repurpose with AI) on the item. Or click the item to read it in full, then click Repurpose Post.
- The extension switches to the Write tab with the content filled in and the right content type selected.
- Click Generate 3 variants · 1 rewrite.
- On the variant you like, click Save draft to send it to your drafts in the web app, or Copy to paste it straight into LinkedIn.
The new post is written in your voice from the idea, not copied word for word. Read it through and add your own example before you publish.
To delete an item, click the trash icon (Remove inspiration).
Use a writing prompt
Stuck for an idea? Open the Prompts sub-tab. Prompts are grouped into Story-Based Prompts, Industry Insight Prompts, Behind-the-Scenes and Advice & Value. Click Use next to one and it opens in the Write tab, ready to generate. The Saved sub-tab also shows three quick prompts under Writing prompts (Biggest mistake?, Career advice?, Daily routine?).
Use inspirations in the web app
There is no separate Inspirations page in the web app. Instead, on Home, click the + button in the message box, open Connectors and choose Saved inspirations. Lee, the Home assistant, then looks through what you saved and suggests a post idea based on it.
Tips
- Save the post, not just the topic. A strong hook or structure is easier to learn from when you can see it again.
- Save things you disagree with too. A respectful counterpoint often makes a strong post.
- Review your Saved list once a week and repurpose the best one or two.
Troubleshooting
I don't see Add to Inspirations when I right-click. Refresh the LinkedIn tab and check you are signed in to the extension. The option appears on the feed, post pages and search results, and is hidden on your own post's page.
The floating button is missing on Medium, Substack, Reddit or YouTube. Refresh the page. If you clicked Hide on this site earlier, the button stays hidden on that website. To bring it back, clear that site's cookies and site data in your browser settings.
My saved item is not in the list. Switch to another tab in the side panel and back to Inspirations; the list reloads each time you open it. Make sure the extension is signed in with the same email as the web app.
It says "No post content found". Right-click directly on the text of the post, or select some of its text first and then right-click.
Common questions
Are my inspirations private? Yes. They are stored in your LigoSocial account and are not shared with other users.
Which sites can I save from? LinkedIn (right-click), plus Medium, Substack, Reddit and YouTube (floating button).
